Constitution 101 is a 15 unit curriculum that provides students with a basic understanding of the Constitution’s text, history, structure, and caselaw. Using multiple primary source documents students will study the historical and philosophical foundations of America’s founding principles from a range of diverse voices The curriculum guides students to think like constitutional lawyers—cultivating the skills necessary to analyze all sides of constitutional questions. Each unit contains detailed materials for classroom teachers, as well as opportunities for guided discovery and practice and tools to check for understanding.

iCivics offers a variety of different ways to engage in the celebration of Constitution Day. They offer a simple one-day lesson, but also expand to more in-depth WebQuests, DBQs, and online games related to the Constitution and its effect on our government and our way of life. Why do some crashes produce only minor injuries? How can a single crash of a car into a wall involve three separate collisions? Award-winning science teacher Griff Jones returns to the Institute's Vehicle Research Center to answer these questions and to examine the laws of nature that determine what happens to the human body in a crash. Jones reviews levels of organization in the body and explains how body cavities house and protect major internal organs. Through creative experiments, he explores how the third collision can cause injuries to organs, demonstrates how shockwaves can damage tissue and describes what happens at the cellular level.

Using primary sources related to the official proclamation of Columbus Day as a holiday at the national level, this activity asks students to analyze the documents (official proclamation and a newspaper advertisement) to determine why President Harrison chose to declare it as a holiday. Accessing the lesson/document does require setting up free account.

I have student create an orgaizational chart as part of their entrepreneurship class.  Sometimes I have students make a business plan based off of the canvas business model and as part of that I have them include a proposed organizational chart.  This is done when discussing business types and structures. 

This course introduces cryptography by addressing topics such as ciphers that were used before World War II, block cipher algorithms, the advanced encryption standard for a symmetric-key encryption adopted by the U.S. government, MD5 and SHA-1 hash functions, and the message authentication code. Business and Marketing activity for grades 9-12 relating to advertising media. Students will design a billboard and be evaluated on five topics in the rubric. 

A multimedia 1st-year German language program based on videos of native speakers and the UT Summer Program in WŸrzburg, Germany. The online textbook includes recorded vocabulary, phonetics lessons, an online grammar component, online comparative polls and internet writing activities.

Students are asked to compare two similar businesses in an effort to differentiate the business' target markets. Students will answer a series of questions about the business in order to create a customer profile. Students will utilize their customer profile to determine how and where that business should advertise. This helps students see that all decisions relate back to a business' target market.

Students utilize resumes, cover letters, and examples of their best work to develop an online portfolio. The goal of the portfolio is for students to use during the employment search process.
