Scoring sheet to use during an archery unit. The students can play the game cricket much like the dart game cricket. The students will need to shoot 3 arrows per round and the goal is to hit all the rings (10) 3 times. This is usually done as a group effort and the 1st team to hit all the rings 3xs wins.

This is a quick way to assess whether or not students can apply the 7 fundamental steps of archery after those steps have been taught and practiced.

This is a 3-Act-Task in which students will solve the problem 58 x 14. 
No guidance is given as to how to solve the task, so student can invent a strategy that works for them. Solutions may include arrays, repeated addition, traditional multiplication algorithm, area models, etc. 
Discussion should be centered around student strategies and efficiency.

The Balance It App is a Task Card Resource and a simple and easy way to provide students with visual prompts to help them develop Gymnastic skills.  It is well worth the $1.99. There are over 60 balances that progressively build up in difficulty, allowing students to develop their static balance and team work skills. Balances range from Indiviual Balances, to balances of two, three, five, and large group balances.  

Here's a super fun science activity that really gets kids thinking! Children will explore  and center of gravity by creating a balancing robot!

Students explore static electricity by rubbing a simulated balloon on a sweater. As they view the charges in the sweater, balloon, and adjacent wall, they gain an understanding of charge transfer. This item is part of a larger collection of simulations developed by the Physics Education Technology project (PhET). The simulations are animated, interactive, and game-like environments.

The purpose of this task is to provide students with a multi-step problem involving volume and to give them a chance to discuss the difference between exact calculations and their meaning in a context.

Banzai is a personal financial literacy tool in which students work through real life scenarios and deposit and spend their money with aid of "jars" representing budgeted money.  It helps students understand and plan a budget.

Can be used as a whole class warm-up. Integrats math. Can be easily modified. 

This resource is an example of modeling the line of best fit by plotting the number of rubber bands that form a bungee cord and how far a Barbie doll can bungee jump with the length of cord. Students calculate the line of best fit by hand and using a graphing calculator. They interpret key parts of the line such as slope and y-intercept.

In this online game, students will be building numbers using Base 10 blocks.  Students decide if they want to select ones, tens, or hundreds.  Students also get to choose if they want to read the number, listen to the number, or if they want to count the blocks given and deterine the number being represented.

Basic inline skating skills with links to the actual skills on Youtube and a short quiz. 

This resource includes skill posters to help  students understand, practice, and master a variety of sport skills. For this example, I've chosen basketball. However, examples for volleyball, hockey, and rugby exist.  Each poster includes a QR Code which is broken down by skill level for students to view a demonstration of the skill along with an activity to practice it.

In the decades following the Civil War, the US military clashed with Native Americans in the West.  The Battle of Little Bighorn was one of the Native Americans most famous victories. In this lesson, students explore causes of the battle by comparing two primary documents with a textbook account.

The lesson gives background to the WWI Battle of the Somme between the British and German armies through a powerpoint.  It then asks students to analyze three primary source documents from both sides of the battle to act as evidence in answering an historical question: Who won the first day (of the battle)?  Student then write a short argument based on their understanding of the texts.
