After learning about introductory Business Law concepts (typically within the first unit of a Business Law course), students will complete research about current events surrounding administrative law. Students will work in teams to research a government agency, it's purpose, current court cases, and potential court cases.
This lesson teaches students about the role of government in business. First, use the Discussion Guide (found in Task 1) to teach students about this concept. Then, use the activity (found in Task 3) to assess their understanding. This activity allows students to understand the impact of government in a real-world business scenario. This lesson module ntroduces students to the basics of laws and regulations, including types of law, levels of laws, and the important functions of law, namely maintaining order, resolving disputes, and enacting social change. It also teaches students where laws and regulations come from, what they do, and which ones are especially relevant and important to young people today. The lesson module contains a student narrative, discussion guide, individual and group activities, and a posttest with descriptive key.
