With the purpose of assisting Wisconsin middle and high school students to better understand the various aspects of Academic and Career Planning, CESA 10 has reached out to past graduates. Young professionals will share information about their chosen occupation, as well as career-related experiences during high school that were beneficial in discovering their own ACP journey.

This lesson goes over some basic elements of engineering and the paper making process. We will be using the circumference of a circle and conversions to program motors to make sure the dryer cans are going at the correct RPM's to ensure the paper machine functions correctly. This is a lesson that can be self taught or can be teacher led.

In this lesson, students will be learning to convert Inches to centimeters and millimeters.

When we talk about "creating your ACP calendar," we are really talking about four things: What ACP content will be delivered to all students in each grade level 6-12 during the year? When will students work on ACP content during the year? How will we ensure that ACP content is delivered as planned? Who will be responsible for each component?Use this Community of Practice presentation to build your district's ACP calendar.

In 2001, Budding Blooms Greenhouse was created and initiated for fourth-grade students between two elementary school teachers at Tower Rock Elementary School in Prairie du Sac. The purpose was to create hands-on activities that promote an understanding and respect for Wisconsin’s agriculture. The vision for ls project was three-fold: to-naturally integrate real-world learning in every part of the curriculum, to utilize the program as a mentorship opportunity, and to obtain district-wide involvement.

ACP doesn't happen in a vacuum, nor can it be delivered entirely by the school counselor. Use this Community of Practice presentation to learn why creating a schoolwide ACP culture is essential for student buy-in, teacher buy-in, and the ultimate success of your ACP program.

Students utilize resumes, cover letters, and examples of their best work to develop an online portfolio. The goal of the portfolio is for students to use during the employment search process.
