These 20 Broad General Education lesson plans focus on the creative and collaborative aspects of computational thinking, programming and coding, building girls confidence and resilience by embedding these concepts through interdisciplinary learning into Literacy & English, health and wellbeing, mathematics, sciences, art & design, music, social subjects and physical education.

The resource packs comprise of lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, video tutorials and website recommendations and provide a wealth of engaging and inspiring learning experiences for teachers to use with their class over a period of a week, a term or over the academic year.

This inquiry embeds an Academic and Career Planning concept into historical inquiry, allowing students to make connections between historic accident analysis and the type of accident chain analysis a business might do today. By investigating the compelling question “Can the Accident Chain be disrupted?” students evaluate secondary sources about the Great Molasses Flood and address the issue of whether there are points along the accident chain when alternate decisions can avoid a calamity. The formative performance tasks help students build knowledge and practice skills so they can answer the supporting questions. Students create an evidence-based argument to answer the compelling question.

This seminar will explore the difficulties of getting agreement on global definitions of sustainability; in particularly building international support for efforts to combat climate change created by greenhouse gas emissions as well as other international resource management efforts. We will focus on possible changes in the way global environmental agreements are formulated and implemented, especially on ways of shifting from the current "pollution control" approach to combating climate change to a more comprehensive strategy for taking advantage of sustainable development opportunities.

This second workshop in the series builds upon participant understanding of UDL and introduces the value of coaching.  Using key points from recent research, participants will understand the impact of coaching on their own practice and on student outcomes.  Participants identify an area of the UDL design framework to focus on with a coach and develop a plan.  The learning targets for this second workshop are...I can explain the role of coaching when implementing change in instruction.I can explain the varied support.I can determine my next step in building knowledge about and implementing UDL.
