In this 5-lesson unit primary students identify attributes of buttons and other objects in their classrooms. This google slide show is for use as a numeracy routine in the kindergarten classroom during third quarter. Students will answer a question using a graph format by dragging their names to the appropriate spot. Students will then be given a chance to notice and wonder about the graph. How much shorter is Lil' Sister than Big Sister? This 3 Act Task by Graham Fletcher begins with picture of two sisters standing back to back. First students make observations and estimates to begin determine how much shorter the little sister is to the bigger sister. Students can then use images of each sister along with a measuring tool of interlocking cubes to determine the height of each sister. Lastly, students will find the difference between the girls' two heights. Students are estimating, measuring, adding, and subtracting to determine how much shorter the little sister is than the big sister.

Designed to promote kindergarteners' mastery of number order. This app replicates a simple classroom activity in which children place number tiles in order from least to greatest. Options include using 10, 15, or 20 number tiles and designating a range of beginning numbers.
