Students will work in teams to design and market a recyclable celebrity outfit. The first part involves researching the celebrity. The second aspect is to actually design the recyclable outfit on an in-class model. The third part is to create a video that replicates a celebrity interview on the red carpet; which allows the designers to describe the detail that was put into the outfit, and allows the model to describe why the eco-friendly outfit is popular/needed.

This is a GREAT activity where students organize into groups and then plan our Holiday Party. They work together, work out a budget and timeline, and then present their ideas to the class. Students love it & you could easily work off of a $0 budget and make them come up with funding/creative ideas.

The program shows the project manager and team how to create a plan to identify the tasks needed to accomplish the scope of work, manage time efficiently and communicate with other team members and stakeholders effectively.

The Project Management Toolkit for Youth and accompanying curriculum is targeted toward secondary school students and was selected to teach key fundamental project management areas and 21st century skills with emphasis on organizing, planning and scheduling work and provides the information needed to organize and structure the work on a project.

Students will learn how projects are initiated from the onset and how to plan a project in detail. Students will develop a project scope statement and schedule of activities for their project. This knowledge will assist students to deal with real life projects and manage project execution. The key to a successful program is a strong working relationship between the school district, local PMI chapter or organization, the instructor and planning.

Completing the SBE certification process is a time consuming and rewarding project. Your school-based enterprise will be better because of the work that you do. It is highly recommended that you use project management tools to organize, plan, and execute the completion of the SBE certification documentation.
