Simple Machines - the lever - a demonstration
Rating
0.0 stars

This is a hands on demonstration of how a lever works.  It give tangible evidence of how moving the fulcrum changes the force needed to liff the load. The demonstration is very clear, and would be easy to duplicate in the classroom with some basic supplies.  This would be a good introduction to how a lever works.  It would be wonderful to have students replicate what the video shows in their classroom.  The video could be stopped periodically to allow students to explore what happens when they move the fulcrum.  Then watch the end of the video to view the summary.
