Cone Baseball is a small-sided baseball skills game that allows students to practice hitting, throwing and catching, and fielding skills in a small group wihich results in high student activity time. This game imitates a real game without the waiting time.

This resource is used to help prepare students for success on the Physical Fitness Tests. This resource helps the students gain upper body and lower body muscular endurance. The students will be working in small groups rotating through stations that will be targeting specific muscle groups.

This is a cooperative activity that incoprorates math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  This activity is listed as for use with grades 3-5 but some have used it with students through the 8th grade. 
Students must solve a math problem and then move around the gym with the cooperation of teammate or group to gather objects representing the solution to the math proble.

Purpose of Activity:
Many young children bring a ball behind their head and throw it OUT instead of UP. The purpose of this lesson idea helps young children to push UP, rather than OUT when shooting a basketball.
