(We are / This is) Love in Action

(We are / This is) Love in Action is committed to moving with and through love. By being in community, we can move heads (learning and unlearning), hearts (self-reflection), and hands (practice) as we lean into our shared histories to work towards healing and our collective liberation. Love In Action uses Dr. Maisha Winn's pedagogical stances of history matters, race matters, justice matters, language matters, and futures matter to plan and facilitate learning opportunities within the Engaged, Responsive Educators learning series. The first learning series event hosted in 2019 was a presentation attended by over 700 participants, featuring Dr. Bettina Love and her work from We Want to Do More Than Survive: Abolitionist Teaching and the Pursuit of Educational Freedom. We have continued to partner with educators and community organizations to host professional learning that creates more just and equitable learning and working spaces.
