About me
As a professional educator and life-long learner, I have two constant variables that attribute to my interest and my teaching style, engagement and passion. Whether I am in the classroom planning lessons or in the C&I department planning PD, engaging learners in the learning process, developing their skills and creating a structure to meet their needs, rather than the demand is at the top. Being focused and intentional, having grace and sharing the passion of learning is priceless.
As Nelson Mandela shared, “Education is the great engine of personal development. It is through education that the daughter of a peasant can become a doctor, that the son of a mine worker can become the head of the mine, that a child of farm workers can become the president of a great nation. It is what we make out of what we have, not what we are given, that separates one person from another.”
Through this coalition, I hope to gain additional awareness and new lessons, to support the inequities in our school systems that will EMPOWER us ALL.
