Agricultural and Environmental Literacy
During the 2024-2025 academic year, educators of students in 3K-Grade 3 will collaborate for professional learning that will increase students' agricultural and environmental literacy. This builds upon resources curated by 4K-Grade 12 educators in previous years. Each participant will create, and implement with students, a standards-aligned unit of 5 agriculture and environmental education experiences.
Current lessons within a content area of choice may be revamped to incorporate agricultural and environmental literacy themes and strands. The group will also look to Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom lesson matrix for inspiration as well as current WISELearn lessons for inspiration and remixing.
