Taking the Guesswork Out of Choosing a Career
Learning about yourself, the world of careers and employment, and how to decide what you may want to do after high school is like putting a puzzle together. All the pieces fit together to create a complete picture. If a piece is missing, the picture is not complete. It isn't going to make sense. Student's need adults to help them think through the process of career development. Ultimately, they need to define their work personality or career identity then connect it to career clusters and pathways. The work personality or career identity are the behaviors, motivations, and passions that drive someone to immerse themselves in a task where they "loose" themselves and consider "hard work" well worth the effort.
