About me

I study and teach the practice and theory of place-based education from anti-oppressive, social justice, and decolonizing perspectives. I tend to focus on urban contexts of education but critique norms of geography that contrast cities and urban communities from pristine wilderness. My research informs the broader practice of place-based education as well as my own practice as a place-based educator. I advocate for a free Palestine, a united Ireland, and the return of native land.
