Waupaca Chain Exploration Center
Waupaca Chain of Exploration Center, (CEC) in partnership with the FIELD Edventures, brought together 9 classroom educators of students of grades 4K-7 together as learners. Participating multi-age teacher teams developed units that used the natural communities on their school garden and grounds for meaningful science and agriculture inquiry. Each unit consisted of 5 sequential lessons that scaffolded learning. The five (5) units, or a total of 25 lessons, are shared in WISELearn for those interested in using the natural environment on their school grounds for science, ELS-, and agriculture-aligned learning experiences for elementary and middle school students.
