Sensory Evaluation

Introduction

What is your favorite food? Why? Are their any foods you don't like? Why? How do you evaluate the food item?

Notes

Use the attached Presentation to teach the students how you use the five senses to evaluate foods.

Lab

Have the students bring in one of their favorite food items from home. Have them bring enough for each student in class to have a sample. Have the students use the attached worksheet to use their senses to evaluate the foods.
