FBLA Financial Literacy Initiative
The FBLA Financial Literacy Initiative was established during the 2016-2017 FBLA year by FBLA National Treasurer Nikolas Lazar with the assistance of the FBLA National Treasurer’s Council. The initiative is designed to make progress towards fixing America’s high rate financial illiteracy by offering a personal finance education to every FBLA member. The lessons were written by Lazar with the proofreading support of National Secretary Vanessa Ting and North Central Vice President Hattie Kruschek (Waunakee High School, WI).
FBLA’s personal finance course is designed to offer all students a personal finance education regardless of their school’s educational offerings. The lessons cover a wide variety of topics and are supplemented with activities and additional resources. If you’re looking for additional study materials, want to share your learning with your peers, or are looking for unique opportunities to use your financial literacy, check out the resources section.
