3D Modeling of Volume and Surface Area
Title: 3D Modeling of Volume and Surface Area | Author: Nick Schaumberg |
Subject(s): Math | |
Grade Level(s): 10 (Geometry) | Total Time: 1 or 2 Class Periods |
Overview / Description:
Students will create a 3D model comprised of 3 different shapes. This will be done with Play-doh or in Tinkercad. They will then find the Volume and Surface Area of the composite 3D shape.
Learning goals/objectives:
After completing this activity, students should be able to . . .
Find the Volume of a composite shape.
Find the Surface Area of a composite shape.
