Learning Activities:
Teacher will put the rubric and timesheet on the projector/LMS and describe to the students their expectations of the class and the rubric. This is typically done the 1st day of class. My current system is 10 points per day for participation and 10 points for turning in the timesheet with rubric.
Every Friday the students turn in their timesheets and rubrics for a grade. This can be done on in a paper form or through a LMS.

Learning Activity Task | WHO is responsible for this step? | Approximate time for task |
Describe classroom expectations. Model how to fill out timesheet and rubric. Demonstrate the different boxes of employability skills and what is acceptable and unacceptable | Teacher | 30 min |
Fill out timesheet with rubric | Students | 10 minutes per week |
Fill out teacher side of rubric. Enter grade in gradebook. Note ways to improve score. Many students will grade themselves harder that the instructor. | Teacher | 1 minute per student per week |
Assessment: Every Friday students turn in their timesheet with at least one complete sentence per day to describe what they worked on. The students then fill out the back (rubric) for how they feel they did for that week. Teacher grades the front timesheet and then puts in their grade for the rubric. Students should be reviewing their grade and reflecting on how they can improve it.
Wrap-Up: This is a weekly exercise. Students and teacher should be reflecting on their scores.
