Many of you are at different points in your post secondary planning process, so today you have the opportunity to utilize resources to ensure you are moving forward with the process.


Please use this worksheet and place in your ACP folder in Google Drive

Please identify your future career and/or educational pathway and “the why” of each of  your choices.

Provide the pros and cons.

Step 2: Next Steps:

Select 2 of the options below that match your needs involving your post-secondary planning.  


Option 1: Research post secondary options

Log into Career Cruising

Use Education>>School Selector Tab

Research 4-5 universities

Create a bank of questions you have for the various institutions and email them to the admissions    department.


Option 2:  Scholarship research

Make a list of scholarships you qualify for by exploring the “Scholarship” section on the KM Counseling website and/or your top school choices.

Option 3: Academic Resume

Update your “Individual Brag Sheet” (Google drive) or personal resume


Option 4: Personal Statement

Option 5: Military Options

What is the ROTC Program and can you participate?

Do you have to take the ASVAB test?  If so, when should you take the ASVAB?  What is the ASVAB?

When is the next military rep visiting during advisory?

Do I really have to register for the draft when I’m 18?


Option 6: Construct a “Things to do” List:

Read this article and come up with your personal list.

                            Are you a potential Division I/II college athlete who should be exploring the NCAA Eligibility Center?

                            Find your transcript on IC and review for accuracy and rigor.

                            Look for additional opportunities for community service, and/or extracurricular activities.


Step 3: Submit artifacts to your ACP folder and to your ACP portfolio
