Each and every Friday my students take part in completing a typing assessment. The assessment consist of 3 (1) minute timings. This first week is to simply set a baseline. Keyboard strategies are shared throughout the quarter to help teach the correct key placement to ensure better typing speeds. IT1.a.4.m: Demonstrate the touch method of keyboarding on an alphanumeric keyboard at acceptable speed and accuracy levels. (Recommended minimum: 5 wpm x grade level).

It should read #26 Classic Tales - (1 Minute Timed Typing Test) I allow 1 to 2 errors, you must use your backspace button to fix your errors. If you have less than 2 errors you can record the higher number of the two numbers. Keyboard must be covered using one of the following items: cardboard box, rubber skin, painted/blank keyboard, black corrugated cardboard, or a pillow case. 

I have my students document THREE timings into a Google Slide Document doc by using the snipping tool - which provides evidence.
