This is a lesson plan with accompanying workshet.  Lesson does give alternative formats for challenging students as well as scaffolding ideas for struggling students.  Lesson is aligned with the standards.

Using the tale of the Frog Prince and the 3 little pigs students will be able to write sentences using the 5 W's, Who?, What?, When?, Where?, Why?.

In this lesson students will explore the properties of four different shapes—triangles, circles, rectangles, and squares. Students will locate examples of circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles in the world around them and compare various types of shapes.

This online game allows students to practice sorting words with long vowel sounds and short vowel sounds.  Students identify an object at the bottom of the screen, must say it to themselves and then sort it into either the long vowel cart or the short vowel cart.
