This is a great activity for students in an Advanced Marketing or Marketing Co-op course. This activity is part of semester-long "Co-op Apprentice" project.

For this project, students will be redesigning an "Amazing Race" challenge for the elementary school audience and a parent/guardian. Students will use project management, communication, creativity, and research to make this a successful project.

To successfully complete this project, students also need to address performance indicators in writing prior to being able to implement their project plan.

DICEBreakers allow students the opportunity to brainstorm and talk through their ideas about different parts of businesses without having to discuss the same concept. This activity provides six different, yet related, talking prompts that encourages in-class discussion.

Materials needed - one dice for every student in the class.

Directions:
Provide a die to each student and break students into small groups of 2-6
Each student rolls the dice and reviews the slide that identifies the brainstorming prompt
Students share ideas based upon the number rolled
Ideas lead to the classroom conversation
Modify discussion points as needed and requested by students

The Treaty of 1837 signed between the United States Government and the Ojibwe Tribe called for annuity payments to be made at Madeline Island. This video features the movement of the annuity payment location from Madeline Island to Sandy Lake, Minnesota in 1850, the difficult travel of the Ojibwe and the death of 400 tribal members, the trip of Chief Buffalo to Washington, D.C., and the decision to move the payment location back to Madeline Island.
