The objective of this module is to show the many ways you can quickly and easily find OER materials in OER Commons. This module, “Finding OER Materials,” is activity-based; you'll be guided through the process of finding OER materials you can start using in your teaching and learning.

The OER Commons Teacher Training Initiative is rooted in the idea that equitable access to high-quality education is a global imperative. Open Educational Resources, or OER, offer opportunities for systemic change in teaching and learning through accessible content, and importantly, through embedding participatory processes and effective technologies to engage with learning for all.

The smallest unit of life is the cell. Cells are tiny factories that work with incredible precision. All living organisms consist of one or more cells. Regardless of their shape and form, which vary greatly, in each cell we can distinguish common organelles. The two most important cell categories are animal and plant cells. In this lesson, we will talk about the similarities and differences of the organelles found in animal and plant cells as well as their functions.
